We are thrilled to share that Maroochy River Rowing Club has just discovered we were successful in our 2024 Sunshine Coast Council Minor Grant application for the purchase of new oars! November 24, 2025 [Secretary Written by Secretary](https://rowing.mrrc.club/blog/author/secretary) 1 Min Read We are thrilled to share that Maroochy River Rowing Club has **just discovered we were successful in our 2024 Sunshine Coast Council Minor Grant application** for the purchase of new oars! Thanks to this support, we have been able to secure **two brand new sets of Croker Arrow Skinny S40 Oars** — high-performance, race-ready oars that will immediately boost training capacity and give our young rowers access to top-quality equipment. These beautiful new oars will be arriving in the **last week of November**, and to say we’re excited is an understatement! They will make an enormous difference across our squads, helping reduce equipment bottlenecks and giving more athletes the chance to get out on the water every session. A heartfelt **thank you once again to Sunshine Coast Council** for making this possible through their grants program. As a growing youth-focused club, this support goes a long way in helping us continue providing meaningful opportunities for young people on the Sunshine Coast. We’d also like to extend our sincere thanks to **Lachlan Allen, Head Coach at St Peters Lutheran College**, for assisting us in securing these oars at a significant discount. Your help made an already wonderful outcome even better, and we are incredibly grateful.
