December 14, 2025 [Secretary Written by Secretary](https://rowing.mrrc.club/blog/author/secretary) 1 Min Read As we roll into the final stretch of 2025, we’re asking our Maroochy River Rowing Club community to rally one more time — for a **Bunnings sausage sizzle on Friday 19 December**, the Friday before Christmas at Maroochydore Bunnings. If you can give us **just two hours of your time**, you’ll be helping us cook up a storm, fill the club bank account, and kick off 2026 with some very practical (and very exciting) upgrades around the clubhouse. Yes — we’re talking about: - **Bathroom doors** 🚪 (imagine it) - And a **kitchen sink with drinkable water** 💧 Some small but mighty improvements that will make a big difference for our rowers, families, and volunteers as we start the new year. ### How You Can Help There are a few simple ways to be part of it — and every one counts: ### 🌭 Volunteer for a Shift If you’re free on **Friday 19 December**, we’d love your help. Two hours is all we’re asking — cooking, serving, or helping with set-up and pack-down. Many hands make light work, and it’s always a fun day. ### 🥖 Donate Sausages or Bread Can’t make it on the day? We’d be incredibly grateful for donations of **sausages, bread, onions, sauce, or serviettes**. These donations directly boost what we can raise. ### ❤️ Spread the Word Pop in for a snag, tell your friends, and help spread the word. It all helps. ### Why It Matters Maroochy River Rowing Club is a **youth-first, volunteer-run club**. Fundraisers like this help us keep improving our facilities and ensuring we’re providing a safe, welcoming, and functional space for our young people and the families who support them. Two hours. One sausage sizzle. Real, tangible improvements. Let’s finish 2025 strong and set ourselves up well for 2026 — together. *Volunteer sign-up and donation details on Heja — thank you for always showing up for this club.* ![Secretary - author image](https://rowing.mrrc.club/hubfs/mrrc%20logo.png) #### [Secretary Written by Secretary](https://rowing.mrrc.club/blog/author/secretary) [Previous Post Previous Post](https://rowing.mrrc.club/blog/queensland-state-championships-january-23-25-at-wyaralong-dam) Queensland State Championships January 23–25 at Wyaralong Dam [Next Post Next Post](https://rowing.mrrc.club/blog/january-2026-learn-to-row-bring-a-friend-or-three) January 2026 Learn to Row — Bring a Friend (or Three!) ### Leave a Reply Your email address will not be published.
