New Quad on the Way – Thanks to Sunshine Coast Council! June 07, 2025 [Secretary Written by Secretary](https://rowing.mrrc.club/blog/author/secretary) 1 Min Read **New Quad on the Way – Thanks to Sunshine Coast Council!** We’re thrilled to announce that **Maroochy River Rowing Club has been successful in securing a $15,000 grant from Sunshine Coast Council** towards the purchase of a brand new **coxless quad/four (4x/4-)** – and we couldn’t be more excited! This $35,000 piece of equipment is a game-changer for our fleet. We’ve placed the order with **Laszlo Boats New Zealand**, a brand known for producing **Olympic-winning, world-class boats**. The quad is scheduled to arrive **in late August**, just in time for the back end of the regatta season. We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Laszlo Boats for the purchase of all our new gear – their craftsmanship is second to none. To complete the purchase, we now need to **raise the remaining $20,000** – so we’ll be rolling out some exciting fundraising efforts over the coming weeks. Every contribution counts as we work to build the future of youth rowing on the Sunshine Coast.
