New Quad on the Way – Thanks to Sunshine Coast Council!
We’re thrilled to announce that Maroochy River Rowing Club has been successful in securing a $15,000 grant from Sunshine Coast Council towards the purchase of a brand new coxless quad/four (4x/4-) – and we couldn’t be more excited!
This $35,000 piece of equipment is a game-changer for our fleet. We’ve placed the order with Laszlo Boats New Zealand, a brand known for producing Olympic-winning, world-class boats. The quad is scheduled to arrive in late August, just in time for the back end of the regatta season.
We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Laszlo Boats for the purchase of all our new gear – their craftsmanship is second to none. You can see their stunning work on Instagram (@laszloboatsnz).
To complete the purchase, we now need to raise the remaining $20,000 – so we’ll be rolling out some exciting fundraising efforts over the coming weeks. Every contribution counts as we work to build the future of youth rowing on the Sunshine Coast.
