💧 Row, Refill, Repeat 💧

We’re really excited to share that Maroochy River Rowing Club has been successful in receiving funding through Cr Maria Suarez’s Councillor Discretionary Funding Program to install a new water filtration system at the club.

For a long time, access to safe drinking water on site has been a challenge for our rowers. This funding will allow us to install a Zazen Alkaline Water System with Glass Bottom Tank, providing clean, safe drinking water for our athletes, coaches, and visiting school groups.

This is a simple but incredibly important improvement — especially for our early morning sessions and hot conditions — and it will also help us significantly reduce our reliance on bottled water.

A huge thank you to Cr Maria Suarez for recognising the need and supporting our club in such a practical and meaningful way, and to Linda for her guidance throughout the process.

We’re looking forward to getting it set up and seeing everyone refilling bottles instead of reaching for plastic!
