Winter Shutdown: 22 June – 13 July
Time to Rest, Recharge & Rally Behind Some Big Club Events!
As we hit the mid-year mark, it’s time for a well-earned winter break! From Saturday 22nd June to Saturday 13th July, there will be no regular squad training—giving our hardworking coaches (and parents and volunteers!) a much-needed breather.
But while training pauses, the club is far from quiet. Here’s what’s happening during the shutdown:
🛠 29 June – Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser
We’ll be firing up the BBQ at Bunnings and raising funds for new equipment. We’d love your help flipping snags or simply popping by for a snag in bread to support the cause. Every dollar makes a difference!
🚣♀️ 2–4 July – Winter Rowing Camp
Our Bow Ballers, Rockover River Riders and Catch Queens will be on the water and off-site for a three-day training camp. It’s going to be a great opportunity for skill development, team bonding, and high-energy fun.
🛶 7–13 July – Learn to Row Program
We’re introducing the next generation of rowers to the sport we love. Senior rowers—if you’re around, we’d be so grateful for your help supporting these new recruits. It’s a great way to give back and inspire the future of the club.
Enjoy the rest, and we can’t wait to hit the water refreshed and ready from Sunday 14th July. Let’s make Term 3 one to remember!
