Have you ever watched the boats glide across the Maroochy River at sunrise and thought — “I’d love to try that!”
Now’s your chance! 🌞
We’re excited to announce two upcoming Learn to Row programs at Maroochy River Rowing Club — one in December and another in January — perfect for anyone keen to give rowing a go before the new school year.
Over the course of the program, participants will:
Learn the fundamentals of rowing technique and water safety
Build strength, balance, and coordination both on and off the water
Work as part of a crew — teamwork is everything in rowing!
Gain confidence and fitness while having loads of fun on the beautiful Maroochy River
Our Learn to Row sessions are designed for young people in Years 6–12, and university-aged beginners (up to age 27) who want to try something new.
No experience is needed — just a sense of adventure and a willingness to get out on the water!
It’s a great way to make new friends, stay active over summer, and see why rowing is one of the fastest-growing sports on the Sunshine Coast.
December Learn to Row: 8–13 December
January Learn to Row: 6–11 January
Spots are limited, so don’t miss out!
Whether you’re chasing a new challenge, a pathway to school rowing, or simply a fun fitness boost — this is your starting line.
See you on the water! 🌊🚣♂️
