Expert Coaches

Our coaches grew up around rowing, and many still row and compete themselves — this isn't a sport they learned to coach, it's one they've lived. They train constantly and pursue ongoing professional development, because a coach who's stopped learning has no business teaching someone else to improve.

Meet Our Coaches

Every MRRC coach holds real, current Rowing Australia accreditation — not a badge earned once and forgotten, but qualifications we invest in renewing every year. Behind every squad, from Learn to Row through to Pathways, is a coach who knows the technical side of the sport and knows your name.

Every coach 18 and over holds a current Working With Children Check — whether through their own Blue Card or an applicable exemption. Coaches under 18 operate under Queensland's volunteer exemption and are always working alongside a fully accredited, Blue Card–holding coach.
