We’re delighted to share that Maroochy River Rowing Club has once again been awarded a Sunshine Coast Council Utilities Grant — marking the second year of a three-year funding arrangement that supports our essential operational costs.
While the original grant was approved for a three-year term, years two and three are dependent on submitting successful annual acquittals — and we’re proud to say we’ve done just that, ensuring this vital funding continues.
This $3,000 annual grant helps the club manage the many behind-the-scenes costs that keep us running smoothly — from electricity and insurance, to software subscriptions, building maintenance, and more. These are the essentials that keep the doors open, the lights on, and our young athletes on the water.
Support like this makes a huge difference to grassroots sport. It allows us to keep membership fees accessible, continue growing our programs, and reinvest in equipment and safety — ensuring every dollar we raise can go further toward creating opportunities for our youth rowers.
